Love the look of copper buttons.
So at first I was a bit disappointed when I got my "Brass" button set. That is I thought was getting all metal buttons that were made out of brass (which would have been awesome and reduce germs!).
However, after learning that they are a resin with brass powder in them and that you can "brush" them using fine steel wool I eventually became happy with the purchase. Just note these are NOT solid metal.
It felt a bit scary to take apart my Steam Deck (being only a month old) but with some Ifixit and LTT tools it was not bad. I love how the buttons feel grippier over the stock buttons and my Steam Deck looks super cool with them too!
Easy to install buttons with a decent tutorial. The buttons feel rough in a very good way and offer much nicer haptics than the original. Only downside is the shipping to Germany, which the seller cant do much about. After paying around 20€ in shipping I had to pay another 20€ in customs which results in a total of around 85€ for a few buttons. I didnt thought about that possibility earlier so it is entirely my fault but I would advise you to research your countries import fees before buying, if you're not from the US.
The look is great. Build quality is impressive. The satin texture is very pleasant as well as the slightly cold metallic feel at first. The sound feels more full, less rattly than the original buttons. The slightly elevated and textured menu buttons are also an improvement.
Great button set, well worth the price. Also perfectly safe as they are non-conductive (tested).
Love that you tested the conductivity! I tried to as well when making them. Was trying to complete a circuit with them, and obviously multimeter'd as well. Thanks for writing a review! :D
