I customized my OLED Deck with the eXtremeRate Clear Atomic Purple replacement shell and added these TouchProtect Hex protectors (Blue - Hex). It looked cool before, but now it’s even sleeker.
I recommend these for several reasons:
They look really good.
They don’t impact touchpad sensitivity.
Most importantly, changing the touchpad buttons on a SteamDeck is very, very difficult. The touchpads are the only parts that you can’t get replacements for with iFixit, so if you mess one up you are out of luck. Adding these protectors lets you customize them without taking them apart.

I have two steam decks and put the hex pattern on one and the mini hex pattern on the other. It makes the touch pads feel so so SO much better.
I also don’t know what kind of adhesive they put on these but you can position them and reposition them over and over and they go on without an issue, as opposed to other pads that seem to be one-and-done. I’m so incredibly impressed.
