Excellent! I have never taken apart something like this before and it made me nervous. It was great! They feel very good. Now I can also put my Steam Deck ones in eventually.
I pre-ordered these the minute they were up and am really glad I did. They look and feel great, and help match my controller to my steamdeck (also *decked* out with aluminum buttons).
The only negative (for me) is that the center button doesn't have the steam logo on it, and just comes flat and blank. I assume there's probably an IP reason for this, so I get it.
Ideally, in the future, if either etching or a negative sticker would be possible that would make the kit perfect.
That said, at least in this case, the gray of the new buttons matches the gray of the old steam. Button quite well, so I was able to get the best of both worlds!
I got the aluminum set! The buttons look and feel fantastic. Be very very thorough and have patience with your polishing (if you go that route) and they will come out beautifully.
Had a bit of a shipping mishap (the most destroyed shipping container I have ever seen) but the folks at Deck Buttons handled it way better than I ever anticipated.
At the risk of sounding a little like a bot, it's not just the quality of the product, it's the people behind the company. Deck Buttons has both. Kudos to them, and I'd buy from them again.
